Kristi Ceccarossi [writer/good eater/site design] was raised on the Northern Shores of Boston by a family of loyal capitalists. She used to be a journalist and still loves the dolor of newsprint, but she is now a student of digital things. With Darry, she spent a winter WWOOFing on farms in Italy and Ireland and learned that this local foods thing is not a fad or an alternative elsewhere in the world; it is just the way things are done. And that's OK.

Darry Madden [writer/compulsive cooker] grew up slinging hash in pubs on Long Island and, later, in forgotten towns of Vt. She is a food writer for the Boston Globe and is very handy in a kitchen. Many years ago, she was abducted by a troupe of WASPs who introduced her to "Practical Ethics," a book by Peter Singer. This led her down a path of local eating long before it was fashionable. She has a very extensive reusable container/plastic bag collection.
